Bee is worked in individual parts and sewn together, and is great for a child’s birthday or baby present as there isn’t anything small enough to choke on, unless you use buttons or alternative eyes that aren’t sew on.

Notes: Do antenna, wings and eyes first as you will need to add these on while making the body.
When working with circle, work around the strangler of yarn and pull through to tighten. When weaving in ends, go around the centre of the circle a few times before snipping off remains.

You will need one black circle and two white circles per eye. Worked in rounds. Ch3, sl st to 3rd ch from the hook, or make a magic circle. (this will be the start for each circle)
In Black:
Round 1: 10dc in ring, sl st to first dc, ch 2 (10)
Round 2: 2dc in each st around, sl st to first dc, cast off (20dc)
First white circle:
Round 1: 8sc in ring, sl st to top of first sc. Cast off.
Second white circle:
Round 1: 10hdc in ring, sl st to first hdc, cast off (10)
Sew larger white circle to upper part of circle, one left side and one on the right, and smaller circle just off to the lower side, towards the edge of the black circle. Sew to face, upper part just before foundation ring.
